First In Math
The fourth grade students are
off and running with the First in Math program this year. Mrs. Bikoi's
homeroom will be challenging Mrs. Hunt's homeroom to see which team will
accumulate the most points or stickers. To find out which team is on top,
check our class BlogSpot (mrshuntmath.blogspot.com) at the end of each
week. Also, everyday there will be a "player of the day" in
each class. The player of the day is the player in each class who has
accumulated the most points or stickers for the previous day. Check with
your child to see if he/she has ever been the player of the day. If he or
she has not, encourage them to log onto First in Math and accumulate as many
points or stickers as possible. Please remember that First in Math is
more than just a game, it is a program proven to increase your child’s math
scores.
Students will receive a weekly
FIM homework grade. This grade will be
based on the number of stickers your child earns. The weekly goal for each student is to
receive a minimum of 100 stickers. If
you do not have Internet access at home or your child is not able to access the
Internet at the library, please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for all of your support
in making the First in Math program a success this year.
